ABOUT KPL OPS
Experience behind the decisions.
Kevin Lemanowicz
Founder & Meteorologist
Kevin Lemanowicz is a meteorologist with 35 years of experience communicating and managing weather risk, including 30 years at Boston 25 News, where he served as Chief Meteorologist.
Beyond broadcasting, Kevin provided operational weather support for 13 seasons with the Boston Red Sox and five seasons with the Worcester Red Sox, working directly with decision-makers on start times, delays, tarp decisions, lightning risk, and rapidly changing conditions.
That experience, along with decades covering major storms, public events, and weather-sensitive operations across New England, exposed a persistent gap: organizations often have access to excellent forecasts, but still need to determine what changing weather means for their specific operation and what action to take.
Kevin founded KPL OPS to fill that gap. The focus is not simply forecasting the weather. It is translating weather intelligence into clear, timely operational guidance so leaders can make better decisions when timing, safety, continuity, and cost are at stake.
